COMPETITIONS

KNLTB competitions

Every year and tennis season, the tennis association, KNLTB, organizes the spring and autumn competition on different days. Think for example of Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. Measure your (team) strengths with those of other clubs and try to become champion. It is not only challenging, but also a lot of fun to participate. Read more about how you can register for this competition here.

How does the spring competition work?

During the spring competition, you and your team try to become champion of the pool in seven match days, between the beginning of April and the beginning of June. A pool usually consists of eight teams and is divided by level, age and region. A team meets each opponent once. You play a number of times at home at your own club and a number of times you visit another club. The team that has won the most matches after the seven match days is champion. The winners of the pool are promoted to a higher class and the last (two) are relegated to a lower class, if this is possible. Click here for the match dates of the most recent spring competition.

How does the autumn competition work?

During the autumn competition, you and your team try to become champion of the pool in five match days, between mid-September and mid-October. A pool usually consists of six teams and is divided by level, age and region. A team meets each opponent once. You play a number of times at home at your own club and a number of times you visit another club. The team that has won the most match points after the five match days is champion. Please note: as of 2022, the number of match days in the autumn competition has been adjusted from seven to five match days.
