MAINTENANCE
Track maintenance
Every year, large-scale spring maintenance is carried out on the gravel courts. This largely determines the quality of the courts. The gravel courts can be played on for an average of forty weeks. This depends on the weather conditions, but more importantly on you as a member. This starts quite simply with following and adhering to the drag rules after playing.
Drag and drag direction
Therefore, take a few minutes before the end of the playing time to drag the courts in the correct manner. But what is the correct dragging direction? We do this by walking with the dragnet in a circular motion from the outside to the inside (see the image below). It is important to start well outside the playing field. This ensures that the gravel that is walked or blown outwards is distributed evenly over the entire court.

Keep the park clean!
The maintenance of the courts is not limited to just dragging the courts. The club also tries to keep the surrounding park clean and tidy. This means that as a player on the court or as a spectator along the sidelines you can have a bite to eat or a drink. Please throw the waste away in the designated bins afterwards. Waste with a deposit can be returned to the bar or the designated baskets along the court.
Questions about maintenance?
Our (gravel) courts are regularly maintained by our groundsman and court committee. These are several volunteers who ensure that the gravel courts are kept in good condition. This ranges from adding gravel to raking the courts. They can always use help. If you would like to help, you can send an email to [email protected]. Of course, you can also ask your questions regarding maintenance here.
